ENVINET - European Network for Arctic-Alpine Multidisciplinary Research
ENVINET is a network of 17 research infrastructures in Northern Europe. It focuses on multidisciplinary environmental research, primarily within atmospheric physics and chemistry, marine and terrestrial biology. ENVINET is funded by EU and managed by the Norwegian Polar Institute.

ACIA - Arctic Climate Impact Assessment
An international project organised under the auspices of the Arctic Council to evaluate and synthesise knowledge on climate variability, climate change, and increased ultraviolet radiation and their consequences.

CIRC- Climate Impacts Research Centre
The Centre combined current ground based studies of plant, animal and aquatic ecology at the Abisko Scientific Research Station in a subarctic environment and current studies of glaciology at the Tarfala Field Station with the most recent developments in remote sensing that were available within associated research centres at Kiruna.

UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Lake Torne Biosphere Reserve Project
Lake Torne Area Biosphere Reserve is the first, and so far only, biosphere reserve in Sweden.
