Abstract
Zackenberg Station is a small facility located in High Arctic NE Greenland. The station is open for scientists each year from June to August. Main focus of research and monitoring is on ecosystem response to climate change. The station consists of five houses and eight shelters a comprehensive monitoring is operated as an integrated part of the station.

Main facility
The station consists of five houses and eight shelters, all built in 1997. The station is kept open for scientists for three month each year (June-August). The station accommodates 20 persons and is manned by a staff consisting of a station manager, two logisticians and a cook. Access to telephone, fax, e-mail and copy machines is provided. Zackenberg Station is reached only by plane. Danish Polar Center provides package solutions on travel to and from Zackenberg.

Subsidiary facilities
A smaller marine facility is operated in Daneborg, 20 km east of Zackenberg. This facility is only open when needed. The facility accommodates up to fifteen scientists. Access to telephone, fax, e-mail and copy machines is provided. Daneborg is reached only by plane. Danish Polar Center provides package solutions on travel to and from Daneborg.
